The country in Europe and Asia I have eaten a number of turkeys in my life and I have visited Turkey twice before and I was really impressed by its history. I went to visit Ephesus, near Izmir and was highly impressed by the civilization. Also, Istanbul of course. Among the major tourist sites, I liked the Topkapi palace and its harem, the Hagia Sophia, the covered bazaar, the spice bazaar across from Galata bridge and the Dolmabahce palace. Those are all very interesting places to visit. My next visit will be to Pamukkale and the Troglodyte dwellings in Cappadocia. The food also is well worth mentioning with my very special liking for Baklava.
