During the Third Crusade, there was a plan to marry Richard and Saladin's kids together and have them JOINTLY rule neo-Israel (whatever you call it), and that was over eight CENTURIES ago. Hell, even before that, there was no shortage of intermarriage between Caliphate invaders and locals as far west as SPAIN.
