Fun question! Are blond men really villains?

I just thought this was funny and was wanting a male and female opinion for my comedy routine. I want honest answers though...

In a way, I think teenage culture has been sending a subliminal message that Blond men are evil and are villains...think about it.

1. Draco Malfoy and his family --> Harry Potter

2. James --> Twilight

3. Spencer Pratt --> The Hills

People were even wanting to boycott Casino Royale when Daniel Craig was cast as Bond. And even then, he was more of an anti-hero if anything.

So girls, do you generally agree with this? Are blond men found evil in our culture? And does this give them a bad boy appeal? :)

Guys, give us your general thoughts! This is just a fun stereotypical question!

Now that you point it out... There really is something to it, yeah. But I guess it's only in movies, and probably because of that whole Nazi thing about the "arian race".

If we're talking bad guys, I guess blond men often are the psycopath/mad scientist/really smart/creepy ( I could go on) villains, while darkhaired men are the more brutal kind, using force. Can't remember any redhaired villains right now.

But on the other hand, I think it's nearly the same with the good guys -.-'

But just to note: I'm a guy. A blond guy. Blue eyes, tall, pretty athletic. My girlfriend and my best female friends tell me that I'm the WORST bad boy in the whole world. But on the other hand, they tell me I'm one of a dying breed: a gentleman.

Being a bad boy is so far from me that it's disturbing. I've tried to act a little tough from time to time, when my best girl friends were seeing someone new, and I felt I had to make sure that their new guy was going to be good to them (I didn't threaten them, by the way. Introduced myself, strong handshake, told them how much the girl meant to me, and that he better be good to her). They didn't find me threatening at all, even though they knew they probably couldn't win a fight with me.

Honestly, I don't think there's much truth behind the "statement" that blond men are villains. Maybe it's just been that the most notable villains were blond?

The blond bad guy from the original 80s Karate Kid movie, William Zabka, was the Villain in 3 different 80s movies, and pretty much invented the type. He was in:

Karate Kid (there were like 2 other minor blond bad guys as well in the bully group)

One of the Guys

...and played pretty much the same character in all three.

Also, the "albino" villain from the Da Vinchi code - also blond.

...and I know I'm missing more. Pretty much Hollywood always uses blond men to play the bad guy or to play the snob, ever since around the 80s. The question is, why? What agenda is this part of?

Huh... I wonder why I have always found blond men more intimidating than brunette or red haired men.

For me I think it just goes back to the Nazi idea... when you think of Nazis they are always portrayed (for obvious reasons) as being some kind of completely brainwashed, completely evil group of young, blond men. I think that's where my (mild) fear was embedded into my subconscious and I wouldn't doubt that that's the reason why blond men are portrayed as being the bad guy.

Its always on a guy-to-guy basis and knowing a guys personality, of course... but for initial attraction, blond guys normally aren't the ones I look to probably because of this subconscious fear.

(By the way, I don't think this applies to all blonds... just ones with short hair or that Draco Malfoy hairdo which looks kind of evil on anyone. =P A blond with shaggy or curly hair gives off a totally different vibe.)

It's funny you say that about Nazi's, because apparently an overwhelming ammount of movie executives in Hollywood are Jewish. So there is some connection there. Look into it!

Yep. I don't even think its necessarily just a Jewish thing.... I think a lot of people in general have a fear of the Nazis or any extreme mentalities... (if you think about it, that's why men with shaved heads sometimes seem intimidating. It makes people think of skinheads). If you're obviously NOT a Nazi though, don't even worry about it. =P

mmh in my experiance evil nope, but a lot of the time, bad YES it's like blond hair gives some guys the confidence boost they need to go wild lol x you seem to have donr ur hw though 3 examples and a background into the film buisness I am impressed ;)

I'm not sure if I see them as evil, but a lot of blond guys that I know are suffers, stoner's and jocks. So maybe it's just because of the people I am around.

yes its true blonde guys are often cast as villians and Nazis but did hitler have blonde hair? or any other Nazi of note? most Nazis had dark hair think about that!
