Anyone have a new mini cooper? Is it worth it?

My mom told me my dad wants to buy me a new mini cooper and that I sell my 2012 ford fusion. I been looking at the styles and really like the Classic 2 door, but then I love my ford so I dont know what to do and I know my car will need repairs in the future of being old. Any advice?

If you don't plan on keeping it long term then sure. They're fun little cars, I've driven my friends mini cooper. It's like a go cart, quick on acceleration and handles good for the price. Now, I only say not for long term is because after warranty, they're a bit more expensive in maintenance, their parts cost more than lets say a Japanese car. Also, they're not exactly the most reliable. Maybe the new generation is better in that department but the previous generations their transmissions go out before 100k miles.

Its a good car, but really expensive. Unless you live in the UK.

If you like small cars then mini cooper is a great solution, i think u should go for the mini instead of the ford
