My teen daughter loves new clothes and shoes and u know what's funny she learned it from me lol I like new gear myself :) we have fun shopping together and if u got the money why not get your shop on... but if it's a addiction and u don't have the money most definitely that's bad... I only do it during the holidays like Christmas or if my daughter needs new clothes and shoes because she loves cheerleading and dancing she been doing it sense she was 8 years old just one day she said dad I want to dance so I paid for a dancing school for her ballerina, cheerleading, dancing so she always needs new clothes/shoes which I have no problem to pay for stuff that make her happy which makes me proud and happy for what she loves to do ok il stop talking lol I hope u and every one had a good day:)!

Is it bad? Well...
1. Do you shop at all hours of the day and night to the detriment of your mental health, social life, or ability to sleep or concentrate?
2. Are you routinely spending more than you can afford, running up credit card debt and/or draining your bank account before you've even paid essential bills?
3. Are you buying things all the time simply out of boredom rather than need or specific want?
4. Do you have so many items that you no longer have a place to store them or you're in need to a storage facility to house all of them
If you're saying yes, yes, yes, it's probably a good idea to really evaluate your spending habits.10 ReplyDepends on the reason to shop a lot, and if you can spare the money.
If you shop for therapy to help with depression may seem like it's not a bad thing as it often nakes you feel better. But shopping for therapy rarely helps depression, as it's just a temporary high, hence the need to continue spending more money on more items.
If it's just because you want the items and can afford them, as long as it doesn't turn into an obsession or addiction then that is generally ok as long as it is in moderation.10 Reply
+1 yI was on a shopping spree when I was in first year of my college.
Got 14 shirts, 4 pants, a fairly expensive set of shoes. And 2 or 3 sets of head (ear) phones.
Also did hotelling a lot. Like 3 times a week. For a student.
It feels good, I know.
But all is well when it is well within your budget.
You are an earning person. You need to take that into account.
My money was coming from my dad and he was like take anything you want till you are in college and giving me grades.
Just remember that...
Companies can make you buy something you do not want, but they cannot sell you what you don't need.
So even when you are on shopping spree, buy only those things which you need and not those which you only fancy for.
Big words from an inexperienced guy, but I think they may be counted.😺😸10 ReplyDepends if it's wasting money and if you have the space at your house to hold everything that your buying. Like I have a small closet and small house so it's impossible to have a ton of things without looking messy. I've been learning lately that less is more.
10 ReplyI also have a shopping addiction but I think as long as you budget how much youâll spend every month then itâs fine. Just make sure you can afford that budget and that you stay within it. Anything left add it into your savings at the end of the month.

+1 yYes and stupid too. Stuff isn't going to fulfill your life with happiness. By your needs.
Isaiah 55:2-3
Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with youâ The sure mercies of David.10 ReplyIf you can afford it and that makes you happy, hell no. If it's a problem where you spend what you don't have... and sacrifice the thigs you need in order to shop for more stuff... yeah you need to seek professional help.

+1 yYes, besides the financial burden on you,
the fashion industry is responsible for a huge chunk of CO2 emissions, pollution and most brands also for animal cruelty.
So its best to only buy what you really need, with some exceptions.10 Replythe main question is, can you afford it? if you have an average/small sallary then yeah, it's a bit unhealthy. but if you're rich, then might as well live life to the fullest.
10 ReplyI like to look for clothes, but dread the crowds a lot (BEFORE COVID) I like to shop at South Coast Shopping Center in Costa Mesa, and really like that Mall.
10 ReplyI love buying stuffâŠ. Itâs funâŠ. Addicting at times, if you want something then but it, know youâre budget or financial limitations, but if your financially set then do what you want! Donât let others judge you.

Of course
Yes because it tells me she's not content within, desperately searches for a constant emotional "hit" outside, and that I will be another acquisition to her for purposes of emotional fulfillment - basically, an addict can never appreciate, be grateful for, or selflessly love their drug unconditionally, because its reason for being in their life is to serve an emotional addiction to fill an inner void, if that makes sense.

+1 yShopping is not bad, it helps the economy. What's BAD is excessive shopping for things you don't need and can't afford.
10 ReplyI don't think so, if required why not?
Regarding outfits many female love to buy more and more and it's exception.10 ReplyNo as long as one can pay cash for it. And, I assume your man wants you to look good. And even if he did not go withâŠhe would readily give you money to get beautifulâŠ. so he could get you all NastyâŠ

Indeed. Personally I see things I want to impulse buy a lot. I either research it so much that I give up on purchasing or try to invent the damn thing for free! The latter rarely works out..

Do you want to change that?

I am trying to help my daughter to think differently⊠I noticed itâs her personality⊠we are all okay with her being average⊠itâs hard to teach her to not be too hard on herself. And itâs okay to make decisions without needing my or dads approval ⊠unless itâs something that can be dangerous to her.
I think itâs good that you notice you donât like how you were raised.
I told her⊠anytimeâŠshe has the urge to get approval⊠just do the oppositeâŠ
I know itâs not easy to change that way. - +1 y
Indeed⊠buying food for yourself, such as a meal should not be guilty⊠unless you stole the money. Or you donât have the money to spend onâŠ
One way to love your self is by rewarding yourselfâŠ
Say you earned $100 a day or a week⊠itâs okay to spend 10/20% to treat yourself ⊠so having a mind set of self love⊠and using baby steps to make the difference ⊠you can feel happier.
Wake up each day⊠share a loving quote for yourself or on gag đđđ
