What do you think of buying second hand luxury items?

Is it a yes or you prefer to buy authentic? I personally never bought second hand lux items I always get the authentic ones in case I want to re-sell them in the future.

I don't buy any luxurious items because I think its just a waste of money and time that you spent on earning it... Because 1$ t-shirt and 1000$ t-shirt serves the same purpose... They will last long for like same the time... So why to spend 999$ just to get that brand logo...
But in some cases you would like to but some expensive things that are accets but not liability... Like some antique jewellery or paintings... Or something that is value for money and its price will increase with time... And mostly this items are used before or owned before with multiple people... Like monalisa painting or the pen used by Abraham Lincoln... This are second hand items but buying this is value for money...

Spending thousand bucks on an item, just because it has the special logo on it, is a waste of money in itself.

But buying second hand is a waste of less money, so the better alternative. Espacially since these luxury items are generally handled with care and good as new.

My wife has a closet full of designer clothes and shoes bought at resale stores. Chanel, Gucci, Prada, BCBG, YSL. They are far nicer than anything we would buy new.

I simply buy knockoffs from wherever. Got some of them from merchants, who said these were made in China (Carpisa). It's good enough for me. I reckon women know how and where to get them without paying full original price. A girlfriend or female friend would be quite helpful.
Also I ain't rich yet but i am doing pretty alright.

I usually don't like buying second hand because it is usually poorer qaulity, But it depends on the price and what I want it for.
