For those of you familiar these two Supermarkets which you prefer: Publix or Winn Dixie and why?

Publix is better way better than Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie has gone downhill starting 20 years ago. The only thing is Publix they don’t have good dinner preparation meals like wild oats, Whole Foods stores they don’t have any dinner prepared meals so you can take home and enjoy a nice meal, which is a shame. They will sell you a dried out rotisserie, chicken, but they make pretty good subs from boars head.

Publix isn't far better than Winn Dixie, not sure it's even better.

Publix is another overpriced Whole Foods. Winn Dixie is solid.

That’s very true Publix is extremely expensive and the prices always keep going up

I have to ask wear the hell are these stores? I know the east coast doesn’t have Fred Meyer’s it’s know as Kroger over there

Publix has better products and better produce than Winn-Dixie, though it's more expensive. You get what you pay for.

I went to Publix today and the produce specifically the small plums were borderline mushy and bad quality and the grapes were subpar, granted, I know that's a rarity and caught me by surprise.

Winn Dixie produce is good. Publix just like ripping people off who are stupid enough to give away their money.

From what I've seen, Publix tends to be cheaper, at least for the stuff I'm usually buying.
