Is bullet proof glass something you have to get at a special store or can you whip out that $120 Walmart gift card and get it normally?

Thinking about making a cool mask/helmet to go with my exoskeleton wings I hope to build someday. I’ve had too many dreams of me flying to not want to do this. I was even a Hummingbird in one of them, watching the dream play out in third person as if I’m watching Life on our Planet on Netflix.

I don't think it's possible to make it into a helmet. I believe bullet proof glass is about 2 inches thick and very heavy. Unlike in the movies, the bullets don't bounce off of it. They imbed themselves into the glass and several shots fired at the same spot will open up a hole.

You wouldn't find it at Walmart, but some security companies sometimes carry it. If they don't carry it in house they can often acquire it for you for example when you order windows for your home or something to that extent. There is no regulation surrounding it. So if you have the cash, someone will sell it to you.

I know where you can get bullet resistant kevlar construction panels but I imagine a local glass company should be able to hook you up.
