What size of bed do you prefer?

OK maybe I live in a shoe under a rock but I just discovered there are bed sizes larger than California king. How long has this existed?

When I was kid I had a twin bed. At some point I got a full size bed. But most of my young adult life being 6'5" tall I never had a bed that would fit my needs in length. I've currently got a king size bed and i've been looking at getting a new one and stumbled across Wyoming and Alaska King. AK is 9' by 9', Good god!🤣 I know that's ridiculously big. But any guy that's well above 6 feet like me I'm sure can relate to what it feels like being oversized in a regular sized world. I can only imagine what exceptionally tall people like people 7 foot feel like. So all I'm saying is I know an Alaskan king is too much. But it's nice to have furniture that make you feel small. So I find myself contemplating it for a split second.

What size bed do you prefer? What is your rationale behind it?

A queen size. I'm tall too, but I am skinny, so I don't need much width in the bed. I'm fine with my feet hanging off, since I still have the freedom to move them. Also, I can sleep diagonal if it ever bothers me.

The only times my height bother me are when it restricts me like lacking leg space, shopping for jeans, and hitting my head on stuff. So, unless if there's something at the end blocking my feet, I don't care too much what size it is.

Here our bedsizes don’t have names, everything is simply metric. For adults the typical mattress length is 2,00 meters. You can get 2,10m or 2,20m. I believe the longest is 2,40m. Since I’m tall, but not gigantic, a 2,00m mattress without footboard is fine and 2,10m is very comfortable.
