What should I get people for milestone birthdays?

I have a guy friend who’s turning thirty, a girl friend turning fifty, another girl friend turning seventy and another guy friend turning forty.

I had thought decorative stemless gold rimmed wine glasses for my friend turning seventy, who doesn’t wear jewellery, a box of goodies for my fiftieth birthday friend, like some beautiful cubic zirconia star earrings, a created diamond circle of life pendant on white gold chain, a freshwater pearl necklace and a cat ornament and gold rimmed cat mug.

I was thinking of some artwork for the guys, like a $35 crystal flower from the gift shop or a framed artwork to put on their desk, or something. Are these any good, or should I try to spend more?

They are all good ideas , its not about " spending more " its about personalising those gifts add something tokenistic as an extra to show the thought for each particular individual , for me and for milestone days , I've always found this works best.
