Ever bought something for yourself and then received the same thing as a gift?

Today I was in my back yard setting up my new greenhouse. My fiance walked around the back saying "you have guests" my parents came around the corner and just laughed and asked "got room for one more" they've gotten me the exact same greenhouse for my birthday 😂 absolutely I have room for another.

Now I need some extra things to grow in my green houses 🤓

Yes, when I was in 4th grade, the new Monkees album, "Headquarters", came out and I got a copy almost as soon as it came out. A few weeks later was my b-day and a friend of mine bought me a copy for my b-day! I told her that I already have it so, we walked over to the record store where she bought it and returned it for something else. I picked the Tommy James & The Shondels album, "Hanky Panky". (19 years later, my guitarist would be dating the daughter of Tommy's bass player!)
I'm sure there were a few other times but don't recall what they are/were. At least once, two or three people bought me the same present!

That happens to me with CDs, vinyl, DVDs and Blu-rays. I have multiple copies of many titles.

I had a 2 car garage added onto my house. I bought my wife a garage door opener for Christmas. She bought me the same exact one. The gift wrapped chain track was a dead giveaway.
