How do you handle shopping when you prefer in-store but lack time and nearby shops?

I buy local in a discounter. My food. Or what they maybe have for some days. As plants or towels.

Clothes I often buy second hand. I need them to try out and prefer to go in shops but clothing shops are not near. Gas is expensive. My time is rare.

Most other things I wish for birthday or Christmas. Need some things for the household. A doormat, ...

Expensive things as chairs, I also need to sit on and try out. I tried to buy online but didn't worked. So I want to go to different stores. It is on my list since one year... as I am most time at work I did not need but I want to finish my furniture shopping. It's time to.

Food, clothes, and furniture I mostly buy in the store so we still need local shops and can’t buy everything online because you don’t get to try it on or see it in person and I would hardly buy food online

Some things I'll buy online. You purposely have to make time to shop for major household items. I'll leave work early if needed.
