Well, I'm a fitness freak you guys, and I have an Instagram where I post photos of my workout progress. Yesterday I posted a picture of my ass (not completely nude or even in undies, of course) - mostly just to show others what I've achieved. So, this guy that I really like and who I think is flirting with me commented "dat ass". Now, I have never heard anybody say that to me really, so... boys, when you say "dat ass" to somebody, what do you actually mean/what do you have in mind?

It means he likes your butt, in ghetto speak. It's also not a very respectful way of saying it, imo. A word of advice, find another man to be interested in; one that can speak REAL English and doesn't think he's being a "player" by "spittin' his game at you" in ghetto talk. He's a douchebag and he'll only disappoint you in the long run.

It's a compliment, but not necessarily a compliment that is meaningful. He finds you sexually attractive, which has little to nothing to do with whether or not he'd like you romantically. You've got to play it by ear and see if he shows interest that isn't sexually based.
