Have you ever been to Amsterdam (or The Netherlands in general)?

I wonder how many of you have been to my country & city?
If you have, did you like it here?
And if you haven't, would you ever like to visit?

I've been twice, its one of my favorite citys I've ever been to... id say in Europe i hold Amstedam 1st, Madrid 2nd and Annecy 3rd... amsterdams a lovely city, lovely people, love the hustle and bussle, the narrow streets, the style of the buildings, canals, food, coffie shops lol! only thing im not too keen on is the amount of bikes haha, its not too bad right enough just takes some getting used to as its nothing like that in my home city of Glasgow.. although i found a lot of european citys are filled with bikes haha, especially Holland & Belgum

I've been to Amsterdam as a school
trip back in 7th grade or so.

It was a pretty fun experience, we had our
"base" in a houseboat, or whatever you call it. :3

Amsterdam twice. I loved it, its one of my favorites :)

I loved Amsterdam :) Might visit it again in a month with some friends, still planning.
It's cozy&atmospheric with the grachten&all the houses built wall-to-wall. And the easy going and tolerant culture is really appealing to me.

Ah and yeah, the Pub Crawl we did was one of the best nights of my life :D. Clubbing there is great.

I went in 2008 to an event in Utrecht called (at the time) Trance Energy. I stopped off at Amsertdam for the afternoon, I didn't smoke weed or go to a hooker but I can't believe how relaxed you guys are, more so than the UK. Peeps from the Middle East, Africa and southern US states would have a fit at the "anything goes" attitude. I love the people there and I love how you seem to be the electronic music capital of the world with so many great DJ's hailing from there.

Often wonder why the U. S. didn't take the English Channel route to take on Germany through the North Sea. In which case they would have gone by Netherlands... why they decided to attack Italy first

They say we started with Italy because it was easier. It was really only backing up Germany but didn't really want to be involved or whatever it was with Italy. Germany is not a landlocked nation, I mean, yeah, it's got all sorts of countries surrounding it but if you go through the English channel or even the North Sea, you could have gotten to it, via Netherlands or Belgium. The problem with that though, is, they were neutral. In war, you're not allowed to go through neutral countries. Germany did it, but that doesn't mean they should have
