Not exactly a sex symbol he was a God to martial arts followers as far as there is no record of him ever marrying or having a girl friend when he was not shooting a picture or especially when he finished the tv show The Green Hornet he lived in Kowloon Hong Kong where he died at only age 32 of a massive Cerebal edema. He was a very private man did not make the visits to the Play Boy Mansion was never in the tabloids until his death on July 20, 1973 I was in the 8th grade I remember it well a tremendous shock

I just went on line he did marry in 1964 Linda Emery they had a baby boy that died in child birth they had a daughter and another son Brandon Lee Bruce Lee's widow never remarried

Yeah he married a white girl, and sometimes when he attended some martial arts events, he was accompanied by some girls most of time

No he was not cast as a sex symbol, he was more of the typical martial arts hero. There are not really any Asian sex symbols in Hollywood, Asian actors are relatively rare compared to other races.
