Adolf Hitler. An honourable honest person in action and then a devil in the eyes of one group while for the other group he was a leader and a father and a God, then it shows that here this evilness is rather subjective. And if the purpose of your deeds is working and dying for a people while being honest and honourable through your life then it's good to be considered evil and be famous than being nameless. because in this case if you are nameless that shows you haven't tried enough in your life. and not having any enemies to make a devil of you means you weren't honest enough in your life. He led the people who were honest to him, inches away from conquering the whole world. And the only person who managed to kill him was Adolf Hitler himself. He lived to his dream. Yes, he failed to reach to his destiny but he will certainly be remembered for generations.  "Rather be hated for who you are than to be loved for what you are not". There are so many good people too but I don't know why, I just like him so much. Not because of his cruel deeds (which I'm against too) but because of his strong leadership, pre-eminence and hegemony.

While I think it would be cool to meet the likes of Caesar Augustus or some such, I wouldn't know any Latin to communicate with him and he would just be staring at me like I'm an idiot. Somewhat the same deal with Jesus, because he spoke Aramaich.

So limited to the English speaking world, that would narrow down my choices. Now Shakespeare would be cool, but what if he was really Edward Duvall and that "other" Shakespeare (the son of a glovemaker) was the one I got? Argh, this is all so confusing.

So I'm going to go with Benjamin Franklin. I would talk humanism and science with him, maybe see if I can learn something about diplomacy and the generation of wealth. His own son sided with the British (and died as a result). It was a huge rift between him and his boy. I might inquire into what kind of father he was, and how things got to be like that for him.
