Dragons except the Komodo Dragon are a myth and the Komodo Dragon doesn't fly so it's out.

Dinosaurs are extinct and the only one that survives from that era is the crocodile which isn't my taste even for belts or bags :D

Hence, this I'll pass ;)

Dinosaurs are fine as long as they are from Ice Age movie lol

  Well actually it is possible that some of these dragons might have actually been dinosaurs that escaped the extinction not fire breathing monsters of course. But carnivorous flying dinosaurs or flightless dragon looking dinosaurs.
  
  I mean you have to admit the fact that every major to moderate society or culture in the world even ones that have had no contact with one another back then have these tales about dragons has to show some prove to their existence. To much of a coincidence if you ask me.

  Years ago I had read somewhere about some dragon like creature (I can't recollect details unfortunately) that used to swallow stones to crush and digest it's food. The stones would grind together creating sparks. This was seemingly the start of the fire breathing of the dragons.
  
  Undoubtedly there were flying dinosaurs like the Pterodactyls and at least 130 species from the Pterosauria family. These were winged reptiles much akin to the dragons as we know today :)

Dragons can fly= automatic win. I would fly that dragon to class every day and be like "yeah that's my dragon, what of it".
