Guys, do you prefer flat stomach, abs on a woman, or a little belly?

I know it depends on the guy, but I think there are a lot that land in the majority category. I have a big butt and thighs and I don't have a tiny waist, but it is not fat by any means, I just have a lower small pouch.. Not like fatty rolls, but like its a bit squishier and there is something to grab. It's healthy, but it's not completely flat. I heard guys like a little belly fat, is that true?

Basically something that doesn't start to form rolls when she's bending her torso. Flat or defined can both do that.

I think my preference is towards flat and naturally skinny, since natural skinniness can give a softness to a woman's body in spite of being low in fat, but I prefer defined and muscular to belly fat.

Not a complete bend -- say if the moment you lean ever so slightly down from a sitting position, rolls form, it's a little too much for me. Some of it might have to do with posture, and whether you're prone to bend more from lower spine or higher. The thinner girls I dated (wife included when she was younger, though now she's getting defined abs recently), could make rolls form on their belly but would actually have to try to do it on purpose (really loosening up their posture and trying to force it).

I don't consider that rolls so much as gentle creases on the skin. I was thinking more like things folding over, like you could stick a coin in between the lump of flesh and have it stay there.

Like this -- this is a bit too much fat for me (just based on my personal preference). My wife got to about this level in her early 30s where she went more from the above picture to something more prone to make rolls. She then noticed and started getting more muscular abs, which I still prefer to this kind of thing.

That said, I hold myself to the same expectations. If I started getting rolls like in the above picture, I'd increase my exercise regiment.

@samhradh_leannan Little bit -- just my tight preference though. I would never consider a girl "fat" who had this kind of shape. I've just grown picky over the years where I found myself originally drawn to hourglass and bombshell type women until I dated a ballet dancer with quite a skinny figure (but strong, active). I got so drawn to her figure that it became something I always found most attractive in other women.

@samhradh_leannan Hope that doesn't come off as too superficial. I also like small breasts, since that one girl whose figure I adored had very small breasts. That was a case where my preferences narrowed to a very tight range, to that body I fell in love with. It's also not like I couldn't fall for a girl who didn't have it -- it's my ideal kind of preference.

@samhradh_leannan I see -- perhaps I should have chosen a more delicate combination of words. Apologies if I sounded too harsh. I'm not the type that rates women on a scale of 1 to 10, don't try to pressure any to conform to my ideal expectations (as I too am not quite ideal myself). I do tend to promote fitness and an active lifestyle where at least one kind of passion involves a physical activity, but realize there's all kinds of factors (including genetics) that will make women have a different shape in spite of this.

This kind of figure I adore is mostly just one I ended up discovering to be so much more desirable to me than the type of women I thought would be the most attractive to me when I was younger, which were all the classical hourglass, big-breasted, wide-hipped variety. That's not to slant those either -- I just found through experience (a rather eye-opening one) that my real attraction is towards these types of skinny, active ones with small breasts.

@samhradh_leannan... it's also a personal ideal that will be unattainable to many women, since of the qualities I adore most in such women are long necks, arms, and legs. It wouldn't make any sense to try to pressure any women to fit those ideals, that would be like pressuring men to become taller. I'm just very grateful when I find a woman who matches this type to return my interest, and consider myself very lucky when it happens.

@samhradh_leannan My wife already lost that quality -- she's also now in her mid-30s -- and I don't mind. She has instead gotten a more muscular build, so now she has the defined abs (though not quite as defined as mine, that would also be a bit too much for me if she had a full-blown six pack). Thus my preference -- first is the flat stomach which is very hard to achieve and maybe impossible for some, then abs, then my least desirable personally is belly fat.

@samhradh_leannan There's something I'm explaining wrong though -- the kind of belly rolls I don't like so much aren't related to fat so much. I mean a woman who has them could eliminate them through cardio and potentially improving her posture, so that's one thing.

Yet the type of body I'm talking about generally can't form fat deposits of that sort around the abdomen -- at least not without going excessive on the fat. It's the type of body that has a natural thigh gap and is extremely flexible, limber. When it gets fat, it tends to develop more of a pot belly appearance and maybe some fat around the oblique area (love handles). It doesn't get fat in a chunky way so much. Everything is quite different there, even skeletal structure, and it's a kind of body that can only be achieved even with the right skeletal structure with a youth that had this body constantly in motion.

@samhradh_leannan... that is to say, belly rolls are generally a symptom rather than a cause.

My ideal preference body type generally can't get them even with a lot of weight added (which often did happen when I was dating such women and with my wife who also matches this type, since I was taking them out to eat almost every other day).

This type with the long limbs and abdomen and neck generally tends to age quite gracefully as well because of that long and limber kind of body. But it's not really an issue of fat to me so much -- more like skeletal structure, fat deposit locations, musculature, flexibility -- lots of genetic factors, and all such women I've dated were extremely physically active throughout their childhood and teenage years.
