Lowest point: It wasn't so much a point as a time period spanning about 3 years. At 24 I was fired from a restaurant that I had opened and built into a thriving success. A little over two years before that, the woman I was planning on proposing to was in a car wreck. I buried the ring with her. Then I started drinking heavily. By the time I was fired, I was drinking pretty much 24/7. "You can't ire me," I said. "I own the place!"
"You own 30%. You still do. But you'll own a pile of ashes if you end up burning it down. Your behavior... this town isn't as big as you think; people talk. We're losing business. And you need help."
I finally sobered up and got back on track. A year later.

Highest point: It's a tough call. When I got sober and the cloud lifted. Or when I sold my stake in the restaurant and used the money to open another business... and another... and another. Or when I was asked to run for State Representative and shown a petition with over 200 names of people who wanted me to run. (I ran. And lost. But I still accomplished some good.)

Actually, I'm pretty convinced I haven't hit my highest point yet.

I think rock bottom for me was when I achieved what I thought was success and realized that it didn't bring me any job and purpose, so I just wanted to go and disappear... but I felt that all my life and I was looking for some kind of "self worth" or something. I found it in a book called "the search for significance" and also in some women bible studies. I am becoming more and more aware of what drives me and controls me... this is my start to figure out my main motives in my life.

The highest point is getting straight A's in school and having conversations with people I like and respect

The lowest point of my life is exercising to lose weight and doing boring things I don't want to do to boost my grades in school like typing / research / reading boring articles.

Highest was meeting the love of my life and almost getting married.
Lowest is losing him over something totally stupid coz he refused to put it in writing, even though he has done it before.. he just doesn't want to be held to something.

For me they're the same thing, namely the two weeks I spent on the psych ward while starting the course of shock therapy that saved my life.

The lowest point was when i was homeless, sleeping at the top of hiking trails in a park, struggling to find food while attending a community college and resorting to dumpster diving behind the pizza place. Not being able to wash my clothes, take a shower, always losing things or having them stolen, going hungry for days at a time, not being able to sleep without cops showing up, everybody around me was on drugs, having to fight bums cause they wanted to be dicks, never having money and not being able to find a job. All that while waiting 2 years for the Veterans Affairs to finalize my service connected claim and get the 100% disability rating I went 8 years without backpay for.

There is no high point. My life is miserable after having served a country that barely provides for me after it damaged my life so entirely. I am recieving 100% compensation for the rest of my life but my social life and outlook on life has been ruined. I haven't been able to have normal relationships and being romantic with women doesn't happen ever. I feel like a husk merely going through the motions until I succumb to death. My life is shit.
