this whole "pickle rick" situation was created by the infinite choices that are given to rick who is obviously struggeling with keeping his mental sanity as he jeopardizes his very own live just to challenge himself. apparently being blessed with vastly superior intellect disables one to find a purpose in life and makes people rather kill themselfes in "adventures" than doing the boring task of caring about their own mental health and stay sane.

rick and beth both hate the therapist after going there. not because the therapist was dumb. but because the therapist exactly showed them their problems and they both have such big egos they both can´t accept that they are flawed to the point where any other person would be able to point out their flaws. they have a god complex. they rather laugh at the person who clearly outsmarted them... much like those regular stupid school bullies do with the school nerds.

also i personally found the moral dilemma pickle rick was in interesting when jaguar was asked if he also had infinite daughters. you could say pickle rick just lied to him cause it´s more convinient for him but actually he might have done it so jaguar won´t get into the very issue that is corrupting ricks sanity.
