The paper can be folded Only once, because after that you will be folding it into quarters, eighths, etc.

It is commonly claimed that you cannot fold a piece of paper in half more than seven times. That may be true for a standard piece of paper of A4 dimensions, but according to US mathematician Britney Gallivan the maximum number of folds is in fact dependent on the initial size of the sheet.

Trolling. I've heard 7 before, and if you're doing it with a regular piece of paper out of a notebook, that's likely the result you'll get, but if I recall right, certain individuals have folded it up to 12 times, their paper was bigger though.
