I wouldn’t know I don’t like hanging around millennials
Ugh! I am barely a millenial. Yuck!

Millennials were raised by Boomers, and had to grow up coming to terms with the fact that pretty much everything we were promised was a lie. We were the first generation to deal with massive student loan debt, get out of school to discover there were no jobs. Then we got hit really hard by multiple recessions. We got called lazy and entitled by Boomers while working 60 hours a week at minimum wage jobs struggling to make ends meet, when our parent's generation worked part time jobs that covered their college expenses and then walked into high paying jobs where they could afford a home on a single income straight out of college.
It's made us I think understandably bitter.
What I notice from Gen Z is a lot more tolerance and acceptance of diversity. When Millennials grew up, it was still not okay to be gay, let alone trans. Gen Z is a lot better about that. I'm sure there are still some bad experiences, but I've noticed you're very accepting of each other, and that's great to see. On the other side, Gen Z grew up with technology that just worked. They never experienced a world without internet, or experienced how bad computers used to be. So a lot of Gen Z lacks the drive to dive in and figure out how things work or try to fix them. At least that's what my teacher friends tell me.
ROFL. No. Generation Z is growing up with their noses stuck to video games & cell phones. They have little to no compassion - they are the ones who'll typically pull out their cell phones in emergencies such as car accidents to record rather than do what any decent human being would & call 911.
If you mean they're compassionate cause they get involved in whatever makes mainstream media - they're just bandwagon jumping sheep. Lemmings. If media said jump off the Eiffel Tower without a parachute so many would you'd wonder if they'd any brains.
@PBandJ_Nerd No empathy is not a trait that can be learned. You either have it or you don't. Psychopaths scientists/researchers believe don't have it so Levin is quite right in claiming Generation Z "can sometimes even seem psychopathic".
Most people i've seen in my generation are just mean and rude. There are some that are violent (i don't know anyone like that). But i sometimes think for the much younger people it could be due to parents possibly not watching what they're doing.
I would agree that Millennials are tough, but not pessimistic. It’s more so that Millennials have been through a lot and are thus are more pragmatic due to experience. Gen Z are burning down their own cities right now with no real objective and seem to be pumped with hate...
Honestly as a member of gen z, I have no hope that this planet will make it. So I got a random meme and stuck it here.
That chart isn't quite accurate with the years, as Millennials are from 1981 to 1996, and Zoomers are from 1997 to 2012, as they go in 15-year generations. But I think both are generally normal when it comes to outlook. I'd say Zoomers are FAR better and smarter than Millennials, though. Millennials really are the worst generation ever (and I technically am one). From social justice, to safe spaces, to open relationships, to vaping, to fake geek culture, and everything else inbetween.
Not everyone from the same generation will fit into one box, people will still vary from person to person no matter what year they were born
Oh really? I did not know that. I thought everyone came out of a machine.
Nope sure not 😂
I'm so shocked 🤷🏻♂️
I honestly feel is the other way around especially after the 2020 pandemic. I understand why they would be more coldhearted as the world became even more dangerous. In addition, now most people identify with mental illness than ever before.
I h8 labels
"Karen", "Boomer", "Chad", "Millenial"
We have a label for everything. People are more complicated than that
No millennial are just older, and that doesn't mean anything except millennial have more life experience and are more likely to be cynical about the world.
I by cold-hearted you mean less likely to fall for the idea that taking from those who earn it and giving it to the lazy, careless, and inept is somehow "generous" then "Yes."
Majority of Gen z are kids.
I thought I was a millennial, guess not
A lot of gen z hasn't grown up yet.
No clue
Um, no.
