Raw magic is often refered to as mana, unshapen, as magic can become anything in theory when it has been tempered. So mana has to be unaspected, which means it can't be any of the elemental colours, or yellow or black (representing holy or dark magic).
Although giving it a colour is really just a mage's interpretation of the force, so theoretically it can be anything, since mana isn't supposed to be visible to the normal humanoid. It's a bit like seeing potential, not a visible thing, a different mage could see it as potential healing, compared to a mage who could see it as potential fire.
The color purple 💜 has that mysterious magical vibe into it.
Call me a nerd, but I think it should depend on the aura of whoever is using it.
So not just one color.

Pink & Sparkly just for shits and giggles.
Can you imagine some dark necromancer casting some terrible spell and it’s all pink…
They would be soo apologetic, sorry it should be black and evil, however it’s pink and sparkly.
That and it would wind up all wizards and sorcerers
Lmao. Good one son!

Probably black for its evil. What nonbelievers do not know is that magic is quite real, but never a force for good. People sell their souls to the Devil for petty temporary power here on earth and pave themselves a road to Hell. And real magic isn't some Harry Potterish cutesy stick waving with Latin words, real magic is Satanic and revolting to actually behold, the stuff of your worst nightmares. But no magic stands the shadow of a chance against the name of King of Kings, Jesus Christ.
celeste... because these are magical (aurora borealis)
Why would magic have a color, if it existed it wouldn't have visual effects. It would just work.
From Clouse, a character from my favorite childhood show when I was little: lego ninjago. "Into the Cursed Realm NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu Cartoon Network" name of the video on youtube, Some is represented by blue but it's mostly purple throughout the show.
I would use purple I don't know why though. It seems to have that allure, that energy. If magic is used and its displayed in purple it would better display something magical is happening.
Silver! It is so shimmery, sparkly and magical. 💍🪙🥈🍴🥄
I think it would be more of a rainbow.. but purple to me is the center of all the colours when I imagine this.
Blue because blue is a cool color (I mean the difference between warm and cool colors) and that's what I think of magic
I think magic should not be defined by one color. I think if, someone would have magic it should represent the person, not the magic itself. Then because everyone who uses magic has a different color it represents who they are.
Purple has the most witchy-feeling energy to it. I'd choose green for nature magic though.
Probably gold? Wouldn't know why, it just popped up in my mind.
Blue, since the classic image of a wizard has a blue robe with stars and moons on it.
Purple because that's what appears in movies and cartoons.
I can't pick one magic is all colors to me
Purple just seems to add the right touch.
Green because it’s mystical
Pink would be so cool and interesting
Purple I want magic to be grape flavored
Blue, most games use it for the mana bar.
Vae Victis = Woe to the Vanquished
Cyan. It's just the first colour to come to mind.
