White.
Raw magic is often refered to as mana, unshapen, as magic can become anything in theory when it has been tempered. So mana has to be unaspected, which means it can't be any of the elemental colours, or yellow or black (representing holy or dark magic).
Although giving it a colour is really just a mage's interpretation of the force, so theoretically it can be anything, since mana isn't supposed to be visible to the normal humanoid. It's a bit like seeing potential, not a visible thing, a different mage could see it as potential healing, compared to a mage who could see it as potential fire.

Probably black for its evil. What nonbelievers do not know is that magic is quite real, but never a force for good. I think magic should not be defined by one color. I think if, someone would have magic it should represent the person, not the magic itself. Then because everyone who uses magic has a different color it represents who they are.
