Account got frozen?

Just to clarify, it was my own damn fault. My old account was one I used a lot, and I was starting to get a little confident in asking questions to the general community. I used it a lot in the sexuality tab, because I was just starting to explore my own sexuality myself and I enjoy talking to people about sex. Yesterday however, I fucked up.

A girl was asking about advice on how to dominate her boyfriend in bed, and I immediately suggested what I would want in that situation. The problem? She was 16. I didn’t check the age, which I should’ve done, before responding with advice, and immediately after I did I apologized and told her to wait until she was 18 to ask those kind of questions. Why the fuck this app allows minors to ask sexual questions I’ll never know. The apology didn’t make a difference and my account got frozen the next day. To top it all off I feel sick to my stomach because I basically got reported for pedophilia for basically answering a sexual question, all because I didn’t check the age of the asker. I feel really disgusting.

So I decided to just delete the whole account. Fuck it. I know it’s against the rules to make a new one but I feel grossed out and guilty by the whole situation.

You certainly did not get reported for p********a just because you answered a question by a minor unless you attached a picture or gave a link to a pornographic site. In that case, you may be reported for that sexual offense.

I have been fighting a long time to segregate the sexual/pornographic section in G@G but I guess that it would be too cumbersome for them to go through the age verification process. G@G would lose too much revenue from advertisers because nobody in their right mind would want to deposit a copy of their ID and a credit card with G@G.

It is so easy to falsify the age here that a great percentage of pink accounts are actually guys in disguise, attempting to hit on girls. Also I have witnessed so many cases where children pretend to be 18+ that it is impossible to keep track.

Well I got reported for answering the question. That’s all I did. So as far as I can tell, that’s the only plausible explanation for why I got reported.

For the record I do blame myself for not checking the age. That was my mistake and I feel really guilty about it.

Temporarily frozen I think. I honestly don’t know if I want to bother I feel guilty enough as is.

When did this all happen? If your account is temporarily frozen, then it is under review by G@G administrators. It might take up to 48 hours to have it reinstated if they don't think it was a major offense.

I mean, in the UK age of consent for sex is 16.. but I do agree if there's a whole reporting part for "adult content under 18" then they shouldn't be allowed to post it in the first place. But guess they got to deal with many different countries and their laws on consent.

I know this is way late, but don't beat yourself up over an honest mistake. Yeah, the way things turned out was a bit fucked up, but I don't think you should feel disgusted with yourself. Just remember to glance at ages before saying stuff like that. I suggested to another user the other day to pay more attention to ages after he asked a minor how big her boobs are. But keep in mind that his is the real world we live in. We were all immature when we were kids and thought we were ready for things that we weren't. Kids who are curious and don't have parents who watch over their every move are liable to go online and look up sexual stuff. You answered a question that she shouldn't have asked. The fact that your answer was addressed to her makes little difference in that her asking sexual questions and roaming around the sexuality topic on here would mean that she would encounter talk about sex anyway. Sure, there are moral and legal arguments that make the case that doing stuff like what you did is wrong, but let's be real here: did you really cause any more harm than she would have experienced otherwise?
