Does it matter if crumbs get under keyboard keys on laptop?

Yes. Eventually your keys will begin to stick and behind harder to press. You should avoid eating over your keyboard. And every few months you should take the keys off (if possible) and give it a good clean. If you can't get the keys off you can turn it upside down and use a can of compressed air to blow the worst of it out.

i used my finger to take the keys off some crumbs got into the sides where the key was like the tiny corners does that matter>

You should be able to shake those pieces out. It's not very hygienic but it shouldn't be a major issue.
