With gloves or bare knuckles? I'm leaning towards B but on the bet that a Mike Tyson might look at me up and down and take it a little bit easier on me instead of sending me to the hospital. That might be a very foolish bet but I'd rather have a broken jaw than the inability to have children.

Well, I guess that's a fair way to look at it. For context, I meant bare knuckles and as hard as he can punch at age 20 when he was world heavyweight champ.

He might kill me with that punch in that case or cause permanent brain damage but somehow I still prefer it over being kicked in the nuts. If someone says they're going to kick me in the nuts, I'm gonna panic and tense up and probably start running in the opposite direction the moment they ask me to get ready. Somehow a haymaker to the face doesn't cause me to flinch or want to run as much. :-D

I've also got more training with respect to being punched in the face. For example, I took boxing and later kickboxing growing up. I was just an amateur but I learned to overcome the instinct to step backward when the opponent throws a punch and instead side-step and counter, or even eat the punch if I fail. I haven't developed that instinct for someone coming at me with the intent of doing low blows!

That makes sense. Usually they teach you to roll with the punches if you cannot block or slip and it's inevitable that you will get hit. In this scenario, you cannot slip or roll, and you have to take the full impact 😬 I understand though why you chose that getting kicked downstairs hurts a hell of a lot and we can all relate to it 😂

Cheers! Also if I survive, there's kind of a "souvenir" aspect to being knocked out by Mike Tyson. Maybe I can ask him for a pic of us together first and then one of me after being knocked down on the ground. I don't mind showing off that I got my ass kicked by Mike Tyson! I'd wear that scar with pride!

You know those guys that take so much pride in their hypothetical fighting abilities and talk so big, even though they aren't fighters? I never had that temptation, but maybe especially after taking boxing and kickboxing, I realized there's no way I can beat a pro. I'm fine with the idea that I'm not a great fighter. I got a bit of a male ego but not by thinking I can kick every guy's ass in a room. That becomes especially true as I grow into an old man. There's no way I can beat a trained fighter who is younger and bigger than me.

I totally understand what you mean haha. I was that way too as a kid. Always getting into fights and stuff. It was only when I started taking Karate classes that I realized there's more to fighting than just being able to take a punch. Now I try to study boxing because I think it's more enjoyable in my experience, plus I love the head movent aspect of boxing that makes it different from other martial arts. Even with my ego and thinking I'm tough and all that, I would definitely not want to try my luck with a professional heavyweight who kicks ass for a living 😂

The way I described it is basically imagine if your crotch gets electrocuted, and your lower abdomen and your kidneys as well for 15 minutes straight. That's what a kick to the nuts feels like.
