It is a good thing to set goals for yourself in life. It gives us a reason to stay on the right path. An idle mind is the Devil's Playground. That's why it is important to set goals for yourself so that you can have something to work towards.

at first, yes. but if it's a long life goal then life just feels kind of, "empty?"after completing it; essentially just feels pointless and the only thing that will take your mind off is another important life goal i guess.

I don’t know… I talk to my friends and family about this…
but it really doesn’t mean much to me regarding reaching/accomplishing goals… being able to live a happy contend life makes life more meaningful to me.

Having goals just for the sake of having a goal is putting the cart before the horse, haha. Money shouldn't be a goal, but the means to a goal. Otherwise you're just feeding into the crazy storm of capitalism with no purpose.
