Do you like skinny dipping?

Comment with what it is about skinny dipping that makes it better than swimming with clothes on, or any pros and cons you might have.

In the water, swimming with no clothes on is more efficient, you have less drag, and there's no chance of getting tangled up in your clothes at all, or having your clothes snag on something. The downside to this is if the water is cold, you will be stripped of warmth faster, but honestly clothes don't retain heat well in water and if cold is an issue you should be wearing a proper neoprene suit or at the very least some rash guard material (again, not going to do much if it's not neoprene/wetsuit material).

Out of the water, not having clothes on means you dry off a lot faster, and you don't have to deal with the "itchy bum" effect of having wet underwear for hours, which also can increase your likelihood of fostering some bacterial growth, a. k. a. jock itch or ringworm. The downside to not having clothes on out of the water is increased sun exposure, which can lead to sunburn if you're not careful. I often put on some dry clothes when I get out, or apply sunblock, have a shady hat, or sit in a shady place to reduce sun exposure, as I prefer to be naked out of the water as well.

Not having clothes on just feels nice, especially once you get used to it as long as you don't have any mental hang ups about it.

there was a creek on our ranch and my friends and I started swimming in it when i was about 10, we used to ride our horses to there and our moms would leave us a picnic lunch under the big oak tree by the creek and when we would get hungry we would stop and swim and eat and one on the girls needed to pee so she took off her jeans and stepped into the creek to pee and so we all did. i felt soo cool to be pantsess in the water so we just took off our tops and swam in the 2 or 3 foot deep creek. no one had boobs so no one could see anything. We build a house right in front of that creek and I often think of my youth back then. we girls skinny dipped in that creek until I went to college when I was 17. I told mom what we did when we were younger. I had no idea that she already knew. Everytime I came in from riding, she could smell the creek on my clothes. not mother's intuition. just pure evidence. hahahaha.

I like that without a suit I can swim faster and easier than with it on.

For obvious reasons, I don't have to worry about the bikini bottom falling off, getting a camel toe or it sliding sideways a bit.

It is just all out there, nothing to worry about then.

Plus when I get out, I dry off faster.

When I was a kid, I liked to do it (only if no one was watching!). There were these two houses in Maine which we rented every summer and one was on a lake (the other was near the ocean, so we swam at that house too). One summer, I left the only pair of trunks I had brought at the first house. It was a pretty long drive, so we just decided to let it go; we could buy a new pair. Of course, for the duration of time that we were there, my parents were too preoccupied with hiking, blueberry picking, and their own swimming that they forgot, and by the time they remembered we went to town and there were no stores that had swim trunks in my size. So, when my sisters and parents were swimming, I decided to walk to the other side of the lake and swim naked there (I was not very comfortable being naked around my family as a kid. Being the only boy in the family, I sometimes got made fun of by my sisters for having a penis, and so I grew up with my pants on usually). For the rest of the vacation, I skinny-dipped so much; I remember that it was actually very nice and the water felt good on my bare skin. I remember going back home and swimming in the pool at the YMCA and feeling the drag of the swim trunks once again, haha. But, I haven't done it since. I feel like skinny-dipping is more appropriate for young kids, as adults being nude in public isn't the best idea. But, if done alone, it could be nice!

Yes! The first time I went skinny dipping I was like 16 years old. Super dark outside and only me and my friends at the pool. I can't really explain why I like it so much.

It feels good to be free. Especially outdoors but it's against the law so haven't done it many times since then.

It's the most natural way to swim. You don't have saturated fabric clinging to your body. And it just feels good to be naked in the water.

If you are referring to bathing without clothes, I’m all for it. I don’t enjoy taking a shower or bath while clothed. It ends up causing more of a mess than necessary.

I regularly bathe without clothing to avoid the hassle of soaking wet clothes all over and sticking to my body.
