Have you ever been accused of yelling at someone when you weren't?

I had a tone but apparently I was screaming and shouting at this person. Everyone else agrees that I only had a tone.

Yeah, especially when talking about something im passionate or excited about. But then the times i actually try to be loud and im about loud as a mouse lol

yes, my wife accused me of this all the time. I just have a loud speaking voice. I am a teacher and I have to speak pretty loud so that my students sleeping in the back row can hear me.

nope, never... if ever yell or shout, there would be no mistake about it

but I have gotten the "condescending tone" thing before... lol

yeah i think so... i remember hanging with this one friend and sometimes he'd tell me to lower my voice... but i was just talking normally lol. it was just me and him in my car

Plenty of times. Usually by irate customers who were the only ones yelling themselves. They didn't like what I was saying so they just labeled it as yelling.

No but I see it sometimes. If you have a naturally loud or deep voice it could come off as screaming. Try lightening your voice or speaking in a lower tone. Not a whisper

Many times. Every single account was by a woman. Hell, I've seen women accuse other women of yelling!
