+1 yAlready getting started on it: my first ever comic to use India as a setting. It's such a weird, different world from anything I've tackled before! It's set in an alternate history, and is a sort of Bollywood Romeo and Juliet meet Armageddon Lite.
Stranger yet, "Don't Lose Hope" isn't a straight story of just Darshan and Mahima escaping a mob and reuniting right as meterors destroy Porbandar. This comic pretends to be an AMV, with their love /apocalypse story happening in the background.
In the foreground, are the lyrics to a song I wrote, being sung by a fictional rock band. This band, dubbed "Corando," consists of a brother-sister pair plus the sister's boyfriend playing bass guitar. The lead singer, Jerry, has vocals like those of Tyler Connolly or Chad Kroger. So their sound is very much like Nickelback or Theory of a Deadman, very Canadian post-grunge.
The lyrics loosely relate to what's happening in the background. As Jerry belts out lyrics, a thing in the background happens to either Darshan or Mahima.
This project is being shot in The Sims 4. Oddly enough, it's a remake of a slideshow with a similar premise shot in 2005 in The Sims 2. Though, the background characters in that version were Dillian and Tina. And they were... much less interesting.
This comes on the heels of my remake of Star Flops: Curse of the Medium Side. Which is my only real dip into writing anything in Star Wars lore. (And may be the last time I ever do.).10 Reply

that's actually what kept me away from it at first, my best friend's dad and uncles were big into fishing, and they always invited me to go with them but... seeing them come back with the catch always messed me up a bit, lol
