Awesome. When I was a 6th grader, I went to a farm to buy maple syrup with my parents. To get a gallon jug of it. When the check was written, the owner says to us, your name means Pine Mountain. To this day, indeed you do the translation, and it's spot on. Insane. I am from MN.

Which reminds me. Heart of the country for Swedes? And I've never shown up to a lutefisk dinner. I eat herring, but I never showed up two miles away for herring where it's made. It's in all the grocery stores. Next time I go to town, herring is on the list.

@schittywok My dad’s parents came from Stockholm Sweden and went to Florida the other relatives went to California

@Iron_Man 4 hrs Northwest of Stockholm is where the most sister cities are for the area I live in. My county has the most per capita Swedish folk in the state. Take a ride in any local cemetery, just reading the grave stones you learn a lot.

Well, I process a fair amount of Denesha, Alesha, and Tameka. They are not Russian, Danes, or French hence my inquiry. You go so far off the grid with names it can have negative effects long-term. Best with it all.

Alizè is a name with french origin, is the name of one Frances most popular musician and more than a few of our wonderful athletes…I should know as I am French and from france 😄.
