What to do when you're bored?

I live in Dubai , my parents work in the same company , they leave the house at 7 am and come back at 8 or 9 pm , at least twice or thrice a week - they go on business trips which leaves me alone in the house for days.

It gets more boring every single day , as im under 18 , I can't drive cars , and without a car you can't go anywhere here. I did start learning guitar and started reading books , but even that gets boring now. Rarely do we go for trips in Europe/Asia.

what should I do? how do I meet new people ( I have many friends , and I mean it , MANY , but almost everyone is super selfish and would choose material things over friendship) . Gag seemed like a nice place , I even got to talk with some people , but the conversation dies in few days.

I love swimming/dancing/Yoga/Music , if anyone out here also has the same interests , I'd be cool to talk with you ! :)

I am NEVER bored.
That is awesome you play guitar. What songs have you mastered? Any other instruments you interested in? I want to play Violin but it got damaged when we got hit with a flood. That was not boring.
I love swimming but have little operatu... OMG you just gave me an idea for that.
I love dancing. I started Dance Central on Xbox as therapy for a friend. I got hooked on it. I felt so elated when dancing. I was addicted.
I like yoga but never do it even though I tell myself I will today. But I used to and was really limber.
Curious on what criteria you base people being selfish?

Suggestions might try.
Learn a new language.
Hike and explore your area. Learn it as if you where a tour guide.
Oh there is an idea, get a job.. as a tour guide even.

Get a hobby. If you like music, make some music. All you need is a laptop. Dancing? Try making a routine or find some other people into that too.

Friends being overly material. That's something you're gonna have to get used to. No everyone is content with what they have. People who aren't like that are very hard to find. But it's not. Bad thing to get used to being around it, there's nothing wrong with being at least a little bit of a realist.

Maybe you should try streaming or something. Then you'd constantly have people trying to meet you and you'd always have something you're working on.

Read and gain knowledge. Vast amounts of knowledge. Pick up some skills and useful hobbies. You live in Dubai, and I do not know what your culture is nor your social status.

But, if it is appropriate for you, I would recommend mastering some recipes, so learn how to cook healthy food, and learn how to cook dishes that you like that may not be so healthy.
Think about what you enjoy, and learn about it. Buy some kits or projects for it.
Cars and electronics are the basics I would start with. Maybe learn about computers.

Are you interested in computer programming? Learn Python, it's super easy.

I love painting when I'm home alone, put music and enjoy having the whole house just for you, play an instrument. Maybe you could take swimming, dancing and yoga lessons, schedule that through the week and you'll meet people there. Girl, honestly, if you have people you call friends but they're not there then they're not friends, they're just people who like to spend the time with you when they want to and you deserve real friends.

Oh dear @AnnaTumbles… sorry that life is so boring! Have you thought about learning any new languages? Or anything like that? Perhaps finding a pen pale through another language would help? I mean it sounds like you are pretty active it is just a question of being able to do things.

Well I have a full time job doing manual labor so most days I’m to tired to be bored.

But I do take road trips with my buddy on weekends exploring all the little towns and spots in my state. And just picking a direction and exploring all the back roads and one lane highways as we call em.

which is always fun and sometimes we go out of state.

then I like video games which are great for when your bored and weightlifting and painting and writing when I have the time.

We'll yoga, dance and music are some of the things that you can do from home. Find some tutorials and you won't be bored. Or read a book, learn to make some food, paint, chat with random people (not with crazy though). ;)

You should not get bored, since your that tall, you should try playing some sports, either Volleyball or Basketball and get engaged to people also have same interest as you. There are no courts for sports in Dubai?

Try to learn a complex game like chess or a hobby that is vast, like art. Don't you meet friends when swimming/dancing that share you interests?

For me, I go for a walk or work on... stuff. I'm rarely bored unless I'm at work.
