When I was in Afghanistan, we had this 19 year old kid attached to my infantry platoon from Combat Camera. They basically roll around with us, take pictures and stuff to put in military news papers and what not.

He went on a patrol with 2nd squad and took a round underneath the armpit. When they got him back, I and a couple others spent 30 minutes conducting CPR on him trying to keep him alive while casualty evacuation tried to get to us.

I'd never done CPR on a real person before and remember the feeling of cracking his ribs and having the corpsman tell me to keep going. He ended up not making it.

Divorce, surgery and some other stuff

recently destroyed a potential relationship, really hurt the other person and really hurt myself. Not so much bothered about myself, however the other person did not deserve it and it was my own stupidity. N yeah fucking hurts.

I'm lucky because I haven't gone through what some unfortunate people have gone through.

I was abused by my best friend (now ex best friend) for a year. She manipulated me, made fun of me, physically hurt me, and spread rumours about me.

I've lost my dad when I was 13. I got raped at 15, pregnant and had a still born. Got married at 17 widowed at 25. Then lost my two sons in a car accident.
