More than anyone actually thinks, honestly. I've been told by strangers who don't know me that I'm an enigma, because upfront, I look really young even for my age, but mentally, I have the mind of a fully matured adult.

This is also why I get along much better with older people rather than people of my own age. Even as a freshman teenagerin high school, I was much closer to the senior girls who were passing out. They'd tell me that the guys their age aren't even half as mature as I am, and one even went as far as to say that if I were two years older, she'd totally date me because I was everything she wanted in a man (I was 16, she was 19 jbtw, so legally, it wasn't gonna work either lol).

Meanwhile, I never get along as well as with the girls my age, on the other hand. Girls my age would tell me I'm "way too serious for their tastes" or joke around that I have "the soul of an old man inside me", and even now, the women who end up liking me more are always 2-3 years older than I am.

This is a really good question I remember when I was younger my friends would always yell out to some guy old man or something like that and the guy would just kind of look at them now that I'm older and if I ever get called Old Man I kind of smile because in my heart and my mind and my body I'm still 25 people don't understand that I guess until they get there but I'm 25 is my mental age maybe even younger I really like this question because we will all go through this and until you do you don't understand it

People think very differently based on individual experiences, personal preferences, and comprehension skills. To expect anything of a person mentally at a given age is absurd.

There are 5 year olds who are more mentally logical, responsible, or smarter than some 50 year olds.

People are not equal in terms of comprehension, and when you factor in personal preferences, you run into endless debate over what mindset or activity is or isn't considered mature, because it's ultimately all subjective.

That said, the most intelligent people tend to be smart and responsible at a very young age, and they tend to keep up their childhood hobbies and interests throughout their entire lives, rather than "outgrowing" of them, and this leads to having essentially the same level of maturity and personality type throughout all their life (short of their toddler years).
