I feel that I do. Mostly because some others reached out and helped me get out of some dark times in my past.

I can and always be there for my friends, and family...

there's also some volunteering I've done for a long time in tutoring, and recently with a vet/shelter place

other than that, I do try to be helpful any time I can here and there...

No. I work in an environment where I constantly see homeless. Some are just sleeping, some ask for money, some urinate in public, some smell like sh*t (literally), and more. I am so annoyed of seeing this on a daily basis.

@ShineBeauTAEfully Some DO enjoy that. I've spoken to some of them. They do enjoy having the freedom to not have a house, pay the bills, taxes, and everything else that we deal with. They usually hang out where the resources are. They steal food and drinks. I've seen it.

Those who do enjoy it are most likely the minority. I’ve volunteered at food banks and homeless shelters for over 15 years now, and I have talked to at least 100 of them. They are always so sweet and grateful. They love to talk too, because most people ignore them. They all have their stories of how they got where they are. Some have been in foster care since they were babies and thrown out as soon as they turned 18, and others went through some traumatic things and ended up losing everything. A lot of them just need to know someone cares and understands them.

Yes I spend a great deal of “ down time” trying to help troubled people and helpless animals.
