Yes and no. The dream is valid, but the reality is that 100% of authority is acquired and maintained through the threat of violence. It has always been this way, and BECAUSE it works it will always remain this way.
Examine the quality of people breaking out into the world and workforce now that “friendly” parenting supersedes “strict” parenting, for example. Everyone is bitching about young people now, but nobody is taking credit for raising these useless, whiny turds. Ell oh ell!
