All life when you come right down to it is wasted time. The whole worth is subject to death, decay, and entropy. So in the end right now is really all you have. So if you enjoy it right now that's really kind of all that matters.

I hope this didn't depress anyone. The meaning was supposed to be the opposite.

No. Time wasted is being stuck or feeling miserable. If you are enjoying your life then time is well spent.
