2) To finish one of my proprietary corn varieties.

Great. Is there a reason why you want to learn Spanish?

Corn is originally from Latin America (especially Mexico), and many of the breeders and breeding organizations are from / in Spanish-speaking countries. Plus, I've been learning it off and on for years but never pushed myself enough for fluency. I need to finally achieve that level.
