Generally warm baths are recommended. There are creams for relief of burning and itching at your local pharmacy. That said, it's probably better to prevent them by eating more fiber, drinking more water, getting exercise especially if you are over weight, don't strain when you take a dump, don't sit on your butt all day. If you have a desk job where you have to sit all day long, get up and walk around for a little bit every hour.
