How is the higher cost of living effecting you?

Every now and then, inflation can catch me off guard and have a noticeable effect, like when I take my wife out to a restaurant. Nonetheless, I managed to secure assets like real estate during the pandemic. Consequently, episodes of hyperinflation lead to the growth of my net worth.

It has not noticeably done so, but my situation is unusual. I inherited the house from my grandfather so it is locked at his assessment for property tax purposes. In other words that cost is set. Property insurance and other expenses have gone up, but so have the prices I charge and my income.

I barely eat and have to prioritize gas to get to work over food. Ended up putting water in my shampoo and conditioner to make it last longer. But things should balance out soon

Yeah, it sucks to be sure. But getting a much better job than I had a year ago means that my income is still comparatively higher than it was.

Groceries especially though property taxes have gone up a bit since last year and insurance for the house though being able to show around and find cheaper options has helped. House is paid off so no worries about it since it was done in the 1990's.

It is making me save more. we rarely eat out and probably won't trave much this summer. I am worried about the future. Biden still had a year and a half to screw things up even more than he already has.
