What is one sign that you are going to have a great day?

What is one thing that makes your day start on a good note? Something that makes you smile, even when you’re half asleep.
Doesn’t have to involve another person!
My signs are the smell of my neighbours cooking, the birds chirping (I’m hard of hearing so it is special to me when it’s loud enough for me to hear), and my cat suffocating me!

The thought of eating graham cracker soup soon for breakfast 🙂 I guess I’m carrying on a tradition 🙂

My dad used to have this dish when he would have to get up and go to work Early in the morning. Either he would wake me up or I would wake up myself and follow him to the kitchen. He would make a cup of coffee, break graham crackers into a small bowl and then pour the coffee all over them. He would also put a piece of bread in the toaster and when it came out, he would put peanut butter on it and dunk it in the cracker soup absorbing the coffee in the bowl. I had cracker soup with him and we watched Hogan’s Heroes until it was time for him to leave to work and I went back to bed and went to sleep till mom woke me up to go to school.

My wife gets up before me on most days. So, for me, it's waking up when the temperature in the room is perfect and I'm feeling refreshed. I smell bacon if my wife made some for herself before going to work. There are always three pieces waiting for me on those days.
