Is black a good color for bedroom?

Specially with some RGB strips?

I plan to give my room a makeover soon turning it into a home studio with some RGB strip lights. I'm wondering if RGB lights would actually work well with black walls. My second option would be to just make it just the ever common white. This is what a white + RGB would look like.

Looks nice but as you could see, the lights looks too scattered in my opinion. It just bounces back a lot making it look so "unicorn/pony" which is not exactly the vibes im looking for. I haven't seen them in person so they might be better in person. I'm still not sure.

But with black walls, I haven't seen any youtube videos about it just yet. I found this picture and I do think it looks more interesting looking more like a dance club vibes which is what I like

I'm just afraid they might not look as good as expected.

But of course I wouldn't keep those RGB lights running. I can try to make it look good with regular and natural lights.

White looks a little more cliché but I admit it can look better with natural lights.

But I'll just make a poll anyways

I don't plan to make it really big. Keep in mind it's not just a bed room. It's also a home studio. Black is hard to paint over, from what I’ve heard, and it will shrink the space of the room. I wouldn’t do it if you had a small bedroom. On the contrary, it might help you sleep better. But I’m going with white or, alternatively, a light soothing color 🥑🐋

Our bedroom is very dark blue interwoven with a smokey pattern, so not far what you are describing, and it looks amazing.

If you have the space as @Whatthefluff mentioned it can be quite nice. I stayed at an upscale hotel one time with a black bathroom other than the trim on the fireplace, and the couch in there turned out to be one of my favorite places to sleep. No light at all just immediate deep blissful slumber if the fireplace was off. Put in twice as many lights as you think you'll need. You can always turn them down, and consider a diffuser to avoid that dot-ish look.

If you're looking to expand your room, black will only make it appear smaller, gloomy and depressing. If you have options, drop black.

Both are okay, but I prefer white out of these options. If it was up to me, I'd go for a light yellow or pale green. Maybe even a greyish-purple.

Black and white are both terrible colours for a bedroom. Bedroom should be a soft neutral colour, such as magnolium.
