I get dog guilt though, if there’s a nice day and I have it off from work and choose to catch up on things that were neglected at home he’ll stare at me and whine because I didn’t take him to the river to play

If I can manage it, I make sure to get out for a walk every day. And longer hikes when it's sunny.
