What goal have you set that you have accomplished?

I guess the big one for me in terms of actually setting a goal is learning to play hockey as an adult.
I for sure have other goals and milestones to reach with it, but actually getting up and going out to find out how to go about doing it, buying skates and equipment, learning to skate, taking instructional classes almost every week, practicing on my own roughly every other day, starting to play in pickup games with guys who have been playing since they could walk, and joining an adult league…I’d say Phase 1 of the mission has been accomplished.
One of my current teammates (it gets shuffled each new season, every 3-4 months) played with me in my first season (Jan.-Apr. ‘22), and he said last winter that I was “10x better” than I was in my first season, and just this past week, I was clowning on myself just for laughs, and he was like “nah, man, you’ve gotten so much better, you’re like on my level now.” He’s not a stud out there, but I’d say he’s a pretty solid player and is also a guy who didn’t play organized hockey as a kid, so that was meaningful to hear. Easy to get too high or too low on yourself, but you can usually count on others to give you a more honest assessment.
But he and others are noticing my improvement, and I’m getting picked a little higher in the draft these days. And the captain of our team says I’m our enforcer, hahaha, and if you knew how much I love the rough stuff, you’d know that’s a bigger compliment to me than saying I’m our best goal-scorer. Even if I suck at hockey, they at least think I’m kinda tough😂
We’re currently in first place, so hopefully in about a month we can get our hands on a trophy for my first championship in this sport.
I’ve put in a ton of time and effort and pain to try to make up for all the lost years of not playing, which I never will, but I’m trying to do as much as I can. Honestly, for only two years, I’d say I look pretty damn good. And most importantly, I didn’t half-step, a came right at it with a head of steam. A lot of people buy all the gear and put on the costume, but they never really become a hockey player. For a while, I didn’t really like saying “I’m a hockey player”, because I was so green, I didn’t want to perpetrate like I was nice at it. But I went from being for sure the worst player in the league to being a pretty serviceable player that the other players respect. I scored two goals last game, plus an assist, I had the best statistical game of any player. I have my moments, haha. So I definitely feel comfortable saying that I’m a hockey player now, and becoming one was a goal set and accomplished, in my 40s. I’m very proud of that.
Getting a job where i am happy at. All my coworkers are good people.
I don’t think I ever thought about setting any goals in my life. You know… too stressful to set goals so I just live and play along.
looking back…from what I read about others … I have accomplished …
1. higher education- masters and 30 above credits to gain top salary.
2. A career I love
3. married 2 kids, a house and 3 cars (the American dream)?
4. Traveling the world.
5. Became a millionaire (not that it’s anything special nowadays).
but I have never set goals to be any of what I listed,
You just simply completed all your goals midnight, I wouldn't expect you to seek anything else 😂
So now is to live with no dreams or hope? 😂 that’s it?
Only you have the power to change that midnight, you decide to create new goals and chase after them until they are accomplishments 😁💯
Hahahaha... but I don't set goals lol... let things flaw... things will fall into place.
Well you should set goals but I mean if you rather just wing it at life then that's alright as well I guess 😆
hahaha... that will defeat my life goal!! Because I don't set goals lol...
I. I never thought I would be a teacher
2. I never thought I would get married or have kids
3. I never thought about being a millionaire.
Travel? never a goal... I just went places since a kid and never told my parents.
goals are too stressful lol
what are your goals and what have your accomplished?
A couple of things but I'm still chasing goals lol
Chasing? Tiring? Just get them accomplished hahaaa…
I'll surely try too
A career, marriage, car, house, and a move to another country.
