It's s question for a psychology study I am doing for university. I'll explain in a week.

Maybe gamble? I say that because I trade stock. I can call it investing. I consistently make money at it or I wouldn't do it. But c'mon at it's barest form it's gambling. I did flirt with poker when I was younger. I was good enough to consistently make money but not enough money to justify devoting time to it. And besides poker is supposed to be fun. It got to feel like a job, because I was trying to make it a job. One that I would have made more working at McDonald's, which is why I quit.

I think this is why I say "maybe gamble". Because I'm VERY analytical. I like the challenge of both of these. And I enjoy calculating odds and whatnot. But if I deduce I can't be consistently successful at an acceptable level I lose interest. To me it's almost always about the numbers. I'm competitive, but I can separate emotion when I'm in the moment pretty well. I think this why I do ok. Because I never invest/gamble what I cannot afford to lose. It's always disposable income.

Whe I played poker my largest bankroll was 800 dollars

Investing my current portfolio is around 300k
