What's something you've realized lately?

That any of us can be here one minute and the next minute we're dead.
My boyfriend died suddenly a little over a week ago. Two days before he died he was telling me how great he feels. I am waiting for autopsy results which take
6-8 weeks. I pray his family will tell me what he died from.

Yes, my father died suddenly at 70. It was a total shock to me.

It's harder to take when they just suddenly drop and their no longer alive. I think it's better for the deceased because they probably didn't suffer, or not for long. But those left behind are in shock that they have to work through. My Mom passed from a 7 year bout with Parkinson's Disease. She didn't deserve to suffer. I didn't even cry when she died, because she never had any happiness. She worked hard, and any love life never happened. She looked forward the day her suffering would stop.
Is there any "good" way to die?

My father just went to work one-day and he died there. I never thought of him as old. I guess it was better for him because he never would have dug the nursing home scene with the bad food and sing a longs

I know that I feel more at ease with people like that, but I guess that's something you can only figure out over time.

Ahh yeah I know what you mean, like it's more subconsciously picked up on. Happens to me. I'll be talking to someone & then I'm like "wow this person has not sent off any red flags for me in a certain area" & that's how I'll know
