To those here who speak more than one language, when you think to yourself are you thinking your thoughts in English or another language?

always wondered. If English isn't your native tongue are you then thinking thoughts in your native language?

I still think my thoughts in English

I think my thoughts in a different language (say which one)

I actually think my thoughts in English and other languages

I only speak English and want to see results

Everyday thoughts are obvously in my mothertongue which is not English. On the otherhand if I write something here I also think what I write beforehand and I dont translate it. Same with reading something.
Bassically if no language is preset from outside, my thoughts are in german.

Even though my native language is swiss german I think more in English than in german just because I'm online a lot and I have real life friends who speak English too it's just more comon for me now. But I still think in german sometimes too of course.

It's about 50/50. Though I live in Denmark and speak Danish in my everyday life, most of the media I consume is in English - social media, books, articles and blog posts, shows and movies, music - so I'm used to switching between two languages, and my thoughts will randomly switch, too.

My native language isn't English. Most of the times I think in my language, but other times it's in English, especially when I'm shocked or angry Lol

But I'm also fluent in French and after about 3 days of immersion I'll be thinking in French.
