This is a true story about an American businessman in Asia. He was ordering from room service at his hotel room.

Hotel: Morny, ruin sorbees.
Guest: Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service.
Hotel: Rye! Ruin sorbees... morny! Jewish to odor sunteen?
Guest: Uh... yes... I'd like some bacon and eggs.
Hotel: Ow July den?
Guest: What?
Hotel: Ow July den... pry, boy, pooch?
Guest: Oh, the eggs! How do I like them? Sorry, scrambled please.
Hotel: Ow July dee baychem... crease?
Guest: Crisp will be fine.
Hotel: Hokay. An San tos?
Guest: What?
Hotel: San toes. July San toes?
Guest: I don't think so.
Hotel: No? Judo one toes?
Guest: I feel really bad about this, but I don't know what 'judo one toes' means.
Hotel: Toes! Toes! ... Why djew Don Juan toes? Ow bow singlishmopping we bother?
Guest: English muffin!! I've got it! You were saying 'Toast.' Fine. Yes, an English muffin will be fine.
Hotel: We bother?
Guest: No, just put the bother on the side.
Hotel: Wad?
Guest: I mean butter... just put it on the side.
Hotel: Copy?
Guest: Sorry?
Hotel: Copy... tea... mill?
Guest: Yes. Coffee please, and that's all.
Hotel: One Minnie. Ass strangle ache, creasebaychem, tossy singlish mopping we bother honey sigh, and copy... rye?
Guest: Whatever you say.
Hotel: Ten jew berry mud.
Guest: You're welcome.

After reading this, I found myself splashing around in the ocean with two cute Thai girls. At one point I said: "Ten Jew Berry Mud"

Both girls said in unison: "You're welcome." :)

I'm from America. But Thailand is the best place on Earth. I taught English there for two years. It was an amazing experience.

You could easily land a teaching job in Thailand.

I met a cool American in Thailand, and he was teaching English at the “Father Ray Foundation.”

I pleaded with him to let me come and teach with him for a couple of days. He had to clear it with the boss, but I got the green light.

The Father Ray Foundation was about teaching handicapped people. (mostly in wheelchairs)
Royce (my friend) assigned me to three students. All the students were required to have a nickname. Their names had to be the name of a superstar. (It didn’t have to be an American superstar, but most were)

I got Will Smith (missing an arm) and Madonna & Rain. (both in wheelchairs) (Rain is a Korean singer that is really famous)

Royce told the class that they had to write a paragraph about their favorite movie. My job was to help them.

Madonna’s favorite movie was Jurassic Park. (imagine trying to express your thoughts in a foreign language)

On day one, Madonna asked me what Modona’s last name was. I tried to bullshit her and tell her that some people didn’t have last names. Like Oprah and Cher. She just glared at me and wasn’t having any part of my lie.

I went home to my apartment that night, and the next day I told her that it was “Madonna Louise Ciccone”
I put a smile on her face. Then we got busy working on our paragraph about Jurassic Park.

Not being overcome with heat when outside.

Being able to wear colored tights again. No more mosquito bites eating up my legs. Not having to wait until 8PM to go outside for the evil skin burning orb to go down.

When it's raining: cuddle up inside with a project, a hot cup of tea and a treat of some kind.

When it's not raining: walk in the national park followed by a bon fire, music and hot drinks. Solo or with company.
