Why would a guy ask you on a date, if he thought you're unattractive?

This is what happened to me recently. A guy that I went on a date with, told me "you have potential, but you need to work out more". Isn't this rude to criticize the body of someone you just met? Wtf?

Said offensively, but more or less he saying his standard is higher than you. But would infact go with you provided you worked towards achieving his standard.

Don't bother with guys like this. The looks standard is the easiest standard they will have to deal with, before you know it. You'll be in a kitchen cooking meals at chef level to try to obtain his approval.

Don't know what his intentions are, but if he's trying to come on to you he's got no idea what he's doing
