My friend is writing his story hoping it to become a book.
I write fanfic. The other friend write their own stuff as well.
And I have also drawn some of the characters in that fantasy universe.

I just have such a deep connection and mutual love for all of them, I feel lucky every day. Of course, I love my family but they have deeply damaged me too and it's so much more complicated and toxic.
The love of the people (and pet) I have attracted into my life is just different, it's more pure and healthy. I can't even express in words how caring and loving and wonderful my friends are, my child self would never believe I have such people in my life now.
And with my boyfriend, it's so passionate and also nurturing, he can make me feel so safe and his voice gets so gentle with me in a way that nobody else gets to hear. I just love love so much!
Like even today, my best friend randomly texted me how much she loves and appreciates me and how glad she is to have me in her life. These people have me crying in the middle of the grocery store!!!

When people respect me just out of general principle and not for what I can do for them.
Respect isn’t the same as liking someone either. They usually go hand in hand but not always. There people I know that I respect but do not like. But a lot of people don’t understand this concept. You see this in politics all the time.
